Catholics on Campus Aims and Objectives 2009

AIMS: To foster and promote the spiritual, intellectual and general interests of the Catholic community at Monash University. To provide moral, social, cultural and spiritual support for students and staff. To engage people in Gospel values and the principles of Catholicism. To organise regular group discussions on matters concerning the Catholic faith. To promote mutual understanding among faiths. To organise lectures, social functions and other activities as the committee may from time to time adopt in keeping with the above objectives. OBJECTIVES: To develop the following on campuses: Chaplaincy service to all students. Daily Mass on various campuses. Sunday Mass — Main Chapel. Mannix College Mass. Friday Rosary and Bible sharing groups. Choir. Celebration of Easter and Pentecost. To conduct spiritual, fellowship, social and cultural activities. Encourage Catholic presence on all Monash campuses. Conduct guest lectures with Catholics Doctor's Association of Victoria and Melbourne Catholic Lawyer's Association. Advantages to Monash University: We believe that by advertising our presence on campus, Catholics on Campus could be of positive assistance to new students in their transition to Monash University.
